Thomas M. Rowley
Welcome.
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute for European Policymaking at Bocconi University. I received my PhD in Economics from ESSEC Business School and CY Cergy Paris University.
My primary research field is international trade, with a particular interest in how firms and economies adjust to globalization, policy interventions, and economic shocks. My work examines comparative advantage, foreign direct investment, firm productivity, supply-chain resilience, and the interactions between trade, finance, and environmental regulation.
I also work on European economic policy, focusing on industrial competitiveness, strategic dependencies, innovation finance, and responses to geopolitical challenges.
